:Less crickets and a larger container for them with more ventilation. Do not feed ANY PLANT materials to your insects as it is unhealthy for the newts and they eat what the crickets eat.

I agree about the larger container and better ventilation. Veggies and grain (i.e., plant materials) are the natural diet for crickets. Most of the "feeder bugs" that we give to newts live on plant material. It's a little extreme to say that the crickets shouldn't be given any plant material.
