Well, they use terms like "Caudate" or "Anuran" to apply to a large group instead of actual species names, but yeah, it would be nice if they did give the species names.
By clinical depression, they are referring to loss of apetite, lethargy, or overactivity, not an actual mental chemical imbalance like you have in humans.
BTW, the article at livingunderworld.org never says it was documented or proven in caudates, but refers to amphibians as a whole.
