Is he alone in the tank? If not, what is in with him? Does there appear to be a cottony substance? If not, it is probably just a simple injury and it should grow back. I worried that my oregon newt lost a toe because of infection, which spreads if not treated, but it turns out it was just eaten by another newt in the petstore and it is growing back nicely.
:I have a CFBN that is missing a leg and I think the bone is bare or something? Do they grow them back? He seems to be getting around pretty good.
