What Rana Ranch does/did is essentially the same as me putting up a fence around the pond in my backyard and saying I captive breed all the amphibians that happen to live there.
:There is a place in Idaho called the Rana Ranch that breeds tiger salamanders in outdoor pens/ponds. I'm not sure if they are still in business or not.
:Salamanders are cool adapted animals and do their best to stay away from sun and warmth.
