:hey, i was thinking since i leave in a country where the temperature not so low for my newts, do you think i should remove the land area for them? or increase the water till it covers the land slightly? my day time temperature should be around 26-32... and night time slightly lower... 23-25 i guess... degree C... i read about tons of stuff that mention that temperature of 21 for the newts... mine is CFBN.. aircon not possible... so what do you guys think?

How would it help to remove the land area?? Doesn't sound right to me. There are a few simple things you can do to help keep the tank temp down: move the tank to the floor (not on a table or stand), use a screeen lid instead of solid top, stop using any kind of motor-driven filter. In the evening you can put in a frozen water bottle to cool things off at night for them.
