I reccomend a 20 gallon aquarium or similar sized enclosure. It is important that watersnakes thermoregulate so you need a large enough enclosure to provide a cool to warm temperature gradient (70's F on one end, 85 F on the other). A heat lamp is the best way in my opinion. Make sure they have plenty of hides and a large water dish. I also reccomend a thick mulch substrate such as cypress or orchid bark.
