:How high up in the trees were these snakes? I'm not inferring anything, your targeting is fine! Just curious.
: I found these 3 maybe 4'-5' off the ground. Add standing in roots and water (depending on tide) of about a foot. Others have been found at about shoulder height (5') in the past. Many are found right at the "ground",on the shore, or low branches. I'll get a pic of the habitat today and post here. I do look higher in the trees but figure I'd never reach 'em or even get a good pic of 'em either. I saw Pierson's pics of his copulating and was wondering if they bred in the trees as well as in water---got my answer. I am trying to get my red ones to breed now. And although you get all colors, I was hoping for some nice ones from them. I have a few different ones to post later, to the dismay of all the nerodia haters. Anytime you want to come down, let me know. I suspect you can find them anywhere from Clearwater south.
