That is funny. I don't see how a pet store could get away with misidentifying so horribly an animal they're selling. Anyway, Watersnakes can be kept much like garters. Give them a large water bowl, a heat lamp or heat pad for warmth (80-85 F) and plenty of hiding spots. Most will readily eat fish placed in their water container. Good luck.
