I have only administered antibiotics to a snake on one occassion and it was very successful. It was an amel black rat that had a severe infection on one side of his head that was probably caused by snout rubbing. I gave him intramuscular injections once a week of an antibiotic called Gentamicin. I don't remember the dosage off the top of my head but I can get back to you on that. If you can get ahold of some, I'd give it a try. I too hope your Christmas was as merry as mine and good luck on the treatment!
