Actually, A lot of us who have had lots of herps still like nerodia - they are one of my favorites. But where or what the heck is Barker?

Joe

Great snake!

:Scott (Sepultura4ever) and I went out to Barker today. On the way to a spot that unfortunately was all under water, we had been flipping all kinds of trash and logs looking for snakes. Then I tell Scott to stop and point to huge curled up Nerodia. He grabs it by the tail and we both try to get the head because bites from big Nerodia are a nuisance. I finally got it behind the head and the thing just LEAKED musk everywhere... He...or I guess it is a she from the size...is pretty big and calmed down alot after the initial capture for the photo session. Here are the pics. BTW, sorry for my love of the "common" and mostly "undesirable" snakes that most of you probably get tired of seeing. Andy
