Thanks for the info. Living here in Texas crayfish wouldn't be a problem. Still I think the snake would be better off if I released it. I can't put it back where it was found.(school gym) But I know a creek that should work well.

:The Regina are tough species to maintain in captivity, mainly because of their specialized diet-- crayfish. If you have access to crayfish, set them up in an aquarium with thick cypress mulch (at least 4 inches) and moisten the bottom inch or so. They need a large water bowl and probably ventral heat and a basking lamp as well (temps in the 80s). Watch for signs of bacterial lesions on the skin as they are prone to this condition. Try both f/t crayfish first and if it will not accept those, try live crayfish. If the snake does not eat for you very soon I'd release it where it was found. Good luck.
