Right species, wrong subspecies. These are N. e. erythrogaster or the Redbelly Watersnake (Blotched are N. e. transversa). These live in NC, SC, GA, and FL as opposed to the Blotched which are from TX, OK, and Nebraska (NA? NK? NB?). There are two other ssp., the Yellowbelly (N. e. flavigaster) and the Copperbelly (N. e. neglecta).
