De verzorging is precies hetzelfde als van de "gewone" langstaart. deze diertjes worden in hun natuurlijke omgeving gevonden in droge graslanden (wel met een natte periode van 2 maanden) en hebben dus het liefst een als dergelijk biotoop ingerichte bak. Zet ze AUB niet in een paludarium want daar heb ik er teveel in tn onder zien gaan, die zijn gewoon te vochtig.
