Yeah, I messed up and didn't notice the different names! So it's the female hissing and trying to bite. This is still normal for some females at all times and for others while gravid.

The scratching after the shed is probably an attempt to remove any old scales that didn't shed properly. Sometimes I will notice a few scales that haven't totally shed, mostly around the nostrils, mouth, and around the eye. They will soak and scratch at it like a dog until it is gone.

Anyway it does sound like all is well in your little MHD family.
