You have just had one heck of a time getting your little family started! I have to chuckle, what else can you do! I would bet that the shipping dropped due to time of year and warmer temps. If you were to time a shipment right you possibly wouldn't need a heat pack and could use less insulation. That would save a bit, although I feel that $40 is highway robbery any time of year!
