make sure the soil is moist or she may not lay either. You want it moist enough that it will stick some but not wet. She will dig and pack the soil to make a hole or tunnel for the eggs and when she is finished she will pack the dirt back over the eggs by pushing the dirt in with her legs, front & back, and then ramming her head against the soil. She will alternate these activities until she is satisfied that the eggs are well hidden ; )
