If a wild caught animal is purchased is it actually necessary to treat the animal if it apperars to be behaving normally. From what a post said some time ago "If the conditions are right then certain parasites will not harm the animal". So, if the animal is feeding, defecating, resting, exploring daily, and basking when needed; are these all sign of an animal that probably woulndn't need treatment. I treated with panacur today just in case. It looked a little thin upon arrival but is slowly recovering from bad husbandry if it were my opinion. What do you think about the treatment. Don't= if he is behaving normally -----or Do= just in case as wild caught animals usually carry parasites (and certain types of "cures" need veterinary presciptions so is it necessary to pay the costs to treat something it may not have. Reptile vets out here are few and far between.
