An occasional pinky here and there doesnt hurt, but i found that using lean turkey deli meats dusted with a vitamin suppliment works better than pinkies. zoo med's can o snails and can o grasshoppers work well for a bigger appetite
i'd keep a smal monitor on inverts and off rodents as long as possible.
