: I don't think they are any smarter then any other monitor, in fact, some of the smaller ones seem way smarter, but then, they have to be, to not get consumed by the larger ones.

: When catching monitors, some of the small ones, like V.kingorum or V.tristis, seem to be very very smart. Making a fool out of you.

: Same goes for them in captivity. Crocs are neither meaner or smarter, then the average.
