Do you need to sumplement a blackthroats diet

can somebody let me know if you have to use sumplement's in a blackthroats diet. I feed mine steak,eggs,chicken and sometimes a rat or two. I also use sticky tounge once a week on the steak but i know people who have blackthroats and feed nothing but rats and never use sumplements and there monitors are healthy.
