a couple years ago i kept records of the onset of breeding for several dozen honduran females. although they were put with males every 2-3 days, they did not start breeding until two to sixteen days AFTEr their second shed. Why some females wait up to two weeks after that shed before accepting a male, i can't explain. but it happens.
(and yes, I know some honduran females will breed after their first shed, and under some circumstances i'll let a female do that. but in my experience my females do better if not bred til after the second shed)
peace and good luck
