easytern milks are not protected in ny

i live on Long island, ny and eastern milksnakes are not a threatend or endangered species, however to collect you would actually have to get a permit through the NY DEC, I BELIVE ITS A SMALL GAME PERMIT and i'm not sure of the bag limit, you can check out the NY DEC website and it explains the different permits. its not very hard to get it. i'm happy that the Eastern milksnakes are finally making a come back here on LI, good luck, and let me know if you come across any melanistic or hypo, or aberrant specimens, thanks dave
