::I really lucked out with this male. He is 34 inches now, and still as red as ever. He eats like my King snakes as well. I have a nice Female that has also retained her color as well. Is this a fluke for Easterns, or can I successfully reproduce these traits?

:That female is a nice Pa. snake!I live in Lycoming county,and often find some nice ones with purple colored saddles.What local is that red male from?

:The male is from mixed localities. The mother is from eastern Virginia, and the fathers local is not known.
