Seriously, you can get deer mice from the Univ. of S. Carolina. Here's the website:

They are expensive though, like $17 each and they only ship via air cargo.
I got one of my stubborn hodurans to eat by giving him a humid hide box with sphagnum moss. I also had a friend who was keeping deer mice (and has since gotten rid of them) who gave me some of the pine shavings that they lived in. I simply washed a live pinky, put it in the bag of shavings, and gave it a good shaking. Sometimes I'd leave it in the bag overnight and give it to the honduran the next morning. He eventually started eating regularly.

:i have a honduran that hatched late nov, eats very sporadicly. thinking maybe deer mice pinkies would help. does anyone know where i can purchase any? i know it is a lot of trouble, but i cant give up, it is a male with the typical black head and a totally patternless orange body! any help would be appreciated . thanks, jeff
