:I was wondering if a male scarlet king will voluntarily breed with a female eastern milk, or vice versa? If they do breed, will the hatchlings turn out looking like coastal plains milks? Sorry, I'm not so good with genetics. I have a scarlet, and I was thinking about breeding it to an eastern milk because the hatchlings are larger and easier to get started than scarlet king hatchlings. Thanks,

: I got a negative response too. I was asking because I was afraid of losing my "normal" sized (16") male s.k. to a 24" female s.k.. I'm sure they'll be o.k. however. Should be ready to try next week or so. I doubt the hatchlings will be THAT much bigger or have an appetite for pinks any more than the s.k.s. Hopefully the babies from my big female will be a little bigger this year, however I have no trouble feeding any of my scarlet kings. I may try the cross in the future but I will probably keep all the babies. If and when someone gets anything from me, it will be truthfully represented as I hope others do with theirs.
