Hi Razy
UAE is a small country and we do not have any reptile organizations, unfortunatelly.
I am doing a research on snakes local to UAE area and I have been having great difficulties on finding information.
Sorry to hear that some of your snakes have been taken away, it's not fair. I admire your collection!! You must have so much of knowledge about reptiles...
I have just obtained my first Eryx jayakari (from a pest control company!), adorable snake! It would be interesting to breed these snakes...
As far as Spalerosophis diadema, I do not know which sub-specie that was. I got it from a local fellow who brought it from Egypt for his kids. The snake was very aggressive and they did not know how to care for it, so I took it. It was very sick (mouth rot) and died after about one month despite all my efforts.
I had my corn snake for over a year now. There is a local pet shop here that sells snakes (Crazy- crazy prices!!!). I bought it from them. It's doing very well, as most corn snakes are.
I an planning a trip to USA and Canada next month and am hoping on bringing some animals from there.
Yiou said, you had been exchanging snakes from other contries. Perhaps, you could help me with an advice, you see I've never shipped snakes. Who is a realiable dealer that ships abroad? I have contacted many but they are asking for $1500-2000 minimum order. It's too many snakes!! I'll be arrested at the customs :)
Razy, by the way, you can e-mail me if convinient for you.
All the best,
Natasha
