There have been many tortoises from the Middle East imported into the US. These tortoises are all or mostly yellow with black spots. They look like several different subspecies all shipped together and all named "Golden Greeks" or "Syrian Greeks". Is anyone from the middle east or europe familier with one or more varieties of generally yellow tortoises? I would be very interested in obtaining information concerning these tortoises.
I personally have what I believe are two different subspecies. They are similar in that they both are yellow with a single black Spot in the center of some scutes. They seem to differ in size and the larger ones seemed to want to hibernate while the smaller ones remained active. Help?!
