The subspecies certainly do exist, but the photos on the site you provided are simply morphs/phases of the main E.m. species that we have in captivity here.

I've seen another site that seems more accurate (believable at least), I'll try and find it and post later tonight.

:WaxWormFan, i stated that i didnt know if the information on that site is true, but how do you know that it is bogus? i am just wondering, not trying to be difficult or anything. the embl reptile database has these (sub)specie(s) listed so i figured if there are multiple sites, there must be at least a grain of truth in it. i have also found a distribution map of the different species (morphs, whatever??) but it was in german. i could try to find it again, but i dont really have time (i am supposed to be working on a paper). anyway, thanks
