Any change in color due to temp fluctuation is purely phenotypic, not genotypic. It wont be inheritable. Increased temps could activate color enhancing enzymes or stop color fading enzymes, and to maintain this high temps will need to be used after birth as well. According to what I have read this sounds correct.
