But I'm afraid he was mislabeled...

Tangerine is a linebred trait (compared to a human: think height- if two tall people mate their children will more than likely be tall, if a tall and short person mate the children should be somewhat of an average but certainly can end up being taller than the tall parent or shorter than the short parent)

"het" refers to recessive traits (human blue eyes, for instance are recessive while brown eyes are dominant).
