Ok, Im a zoology teacher, and unless Ive been lieing to my kids the last 7 years, someone explain this. I recieved a gecko, it was labled male. I checked underneath, it has the hemipenal bulges, but no pores. It accidentally spent the night with a known male, this one is definately a male. I separated them immediately, and 2-3 weeks later, he/she pops out an egg.

Ok heres my question. What the hecks going on. Can a female have an enlarged hemipenal area?

Thanks

Jeff

ps

God bless Rick Mizuhara and Marci Evans for their donation. My students are learning about these awesome reptiles, and loving every minute of it. Thanks Guys.
