Homozygous is when it has the recessive gene from both parents. That is the only one that looks different. Heterozygous animals carry the recessive gene from only one parent and are indistinguishable from a normal carrying none of the recessive genes.
It is only when you are breeding a selectively bred trait that you get babies that look like either of the parents or anything in between.
