I've found pictus eggs easier to incubate than leo eggs. The are hard shelled and more forgiving of any environmental inadequacies. I personally would not put more than 1.3 in a 20 long though you could probably go with more. I'm not sure about the length of pictus hatchlings, but in overall size they are about 1/2 to 1/3 the size of a leo hatchling. Hope this helps.

:Hi Im am looking to breed lizards for the first time finally.Im considering getting Im considering getting a pictus gecko group(how many can I fit in a 20 gallon long).Or Ill get a group of leos.wich one would be better for a first time breeder.Im considering pictus because of the price, but people say there eggs need to be incubated a special way(how do you incubate them, ina certain type of container)is this true?if so I might just stick with leos.how long are pictus hatchlings?Ive posted this on the leopard gecko for um too as I want to get everybodys opinioin.thanks to all who respond.
