Though I got the correct size for my terrarium, the area it heats is too small, and the heat doesn't travel through the calci sand anywhere as much as it says it is supposed to. I am now using mainly human pads on a ventilated platform, which heat a much better surface area more evenly, though I will be switching to a rack system soon- with this years crop, I will need it. With laast year's crop, my preinginals, and two new babies. I already have 20 geckos, and babies are just starting to hatch.
:anybody here use a zoomed under the tank heater for there terrarium? If so does it provide enough heat to properly warm an end of the tank by it self? I have a 40 breeder tank and want to try one but wanted to hear any pros or cons before I got one. I know they come in different sizes and I will get the one rated for my tank.
:Thanks
