Sand is by far the better of the two substrates in question.
She'll get used to the humid hide. Another great substrate for a humid hide/laybox is bed-a-beast.

:1. Whats better sand or large orchid bark?
:2. I have just put her some new moss in her humid hide and she won't go in it now :( is she just scared of it?
