They tried that here is Silvercity NM along with all the animals that are not indigenous here...so I ask who was going to collect the hamsters....LOL Anyhow the people won and the politicians gave up and appoligized for creating such an uproar!!! HURRAY!!

:Where I live all constricting snakes are outlawed. Corn snakes, kingsnakes, ball pythons... all considered dangerous. Maybe the law makers are afraid these pets may escape and kill some unsuspecting mice or rats?
:Ignorance is bliss and people fear that which they don't understand. This is the reason these laws exist. It is due to people being uneducated and fearful.
