Im writing out a letter to that effect, giving pretty much the same reasons you outlined on your post.I guess now its a waiting game to see when and if the legislation gets passed. In the long run TWRA might not have any say in the matter, but i cant just see them giving up the power they have over all of the pet stores and private ownership.Lets face it TWRA,as it stands right now, just has to power, more so than regular law enforcement in a lot of cases.Ive been passing this along to everyone i know that possess herps and pet stores as well. Most see it as having more pros than cons.Lets hope they are right!
:This may not be such a bad deal. TWRA has been unwilling to budge on their naieve, opinionated and unfounded laws. Maybe the DOA would be more logical and listen to reason. They would have to know that reptiles are no more dangerous than farm animals and farm equipment, and would have to agree that choices like this should be up to individual people and that rules and regulations are better than BANS! Maybe we should contact the DOA and find out their stand.
