You know, I can understand creating laws to punish irresponsible owners but this is just another example of how U.S. citizens rights are being slowly voted away by ignorant uneducated people. So when are we going to form our own lobby?
Required to have $250,000 in liability insurance? Dogs and cats do far more damage than any "exotic" and there are waaaayy more irresponsible dog and cat owners than irresponsible herp owners! How often do you have to pick up iguana poop out of your yard that doesn't belong to you? I, for one, am so sick of my neighbors cats using my front flower bed as a litter box. I can't open my window because it stinks soo bad >:( And how often do you have to call animal control because the neighbors rainbow boa won't stop barking?
Aside from all of that, we need a voice. Who speaks for us? This isn't just an attack on "exotic" owners, "regular" pet owners will be next.
