To my knowledge LI is different from NYC. In NYC you cannot own any venomous snakes, alligators/crocs, or any species of snake that grows over 10 feet. On top p fthe ferrets are illegal too. All of this thanks to guilani.

I may soon be looking into getting a permit for hots as well and am on LI
