"If there are regulations (laws - gasp!) in place to help ensure that PROPER information is supplied..."
When do we get the law which states what that PROPER information is? hmmm? Are all animals subject to the same husbandry practices? Genus? Species? Subspecies? individual? And what about the constantly looming debates? UVB for nocturnal animals, vitamin suppliments, sand or no sand, bird seed or newspaper, and you can each think of dozens of others yourselves. If I tell you to raise the humidity on your uromastix to avoid respiratory infections would I be held liable? The care sheet recommended by the state says never to use sand as a substrate for leopard geckos yet tells you to use vermiculite in your humid hide. You have to disagree with that for the pure hypocracy of the statements.
That's right, it is in California, the state that dictates how you live your according to how they feel at the time. Brains are banned in our capitol. They know what's best for us because we are supposed to be incompetant. What next, banning exotic reptiles all together? Oh yeah, they're already trying that one. Back off Gray Dumb A**. You've already taken the states largest ever surplus and overspent it by $1000 for every man woman and child in the state. Who's incompetant? Are you going to regulate the content of all the care sheets or should we just get rid of all our reptiles as they're trying to do to us up in the desert?
Just back off. You don't have to answer to my customers, I do.
