Coral snakes - Florida

I was wondering if anyone knows the laws either federal or for Florida regarding the capture and possesion of venemous species such as the Coral snake. I am asking because a co-worker and I removed one from a heavily traveled area of the golf course we work at. We want to know if we need to release it and if so does it have to be back to or near where we got it or can we keep or sell it. Thanks.
