You could do a general look at them and come up with a great project I think. For instance, according to their Y2K tax returns they had approximately $116 million in donations and investments at their disposal. With that much capital why are they not at least supporting FUNCTIONING humane societies more financially or at the very least operating a few of their own. Or the fact that their top 6 or so people are "earning" more than $100k in salaries a year. Something along those lines. The reptile focus could be just the "punch line" that you need for your argument.
