Phobia hypothesis......invalidated (I never said it wasn't)

A hypothesis is just that, a hypothesis. I don't have anything to back it up. But as for the other phobias, it's the same thing, except some of them are more recent. Like the fear of heights. I think that we are afraid of heights because if we fall from a high spot, we can die or get seriously injured. That's basically instincts. Like I said, it's just something I was thinking about. I can research more about it though.

:Your hypothesis will not be valid until you devise a procedure to test it. Until then it will remain a speculation. Further, your so-called hypothesis only considers phobias of animals. How would it explain other phobias such as the fear of heights, confined spaces, the fear of dying, the fear of everything, the fear of the sun, or anyone of the hundreds of phobias recognized by modern medicine?
