Skin/shedding questions

Ok, my snake finally shed. Mostly in one piece. Some small peices did come off. Unfortunately, so far I haven't been able to find one of the eyecaps (I'm hoping it was a small piece that is elsewhere in the cage, he's never had problems with eyecaps before). Anyways, is there any other way I can tell if the eyecap is on besides just looking for the shed?

Second question is he has two scales (not together) that look like they were broken off or something, there's just white area there. He doesn't seem to mind me touching them, and it looks like a chunk is missing as it is an indenture. Is that scale rot? If so, what do I do about it?

Thanks for any advice.

Alice
