:Pick it up and move it somewhere else, bites do not hurt. Also, why would you be uncomfy with a couple rodent-eating pest irradicating harmless snakes around?
People have irrational fears, reasoning doesn't help much. I'm afraid of spiders even though I know they kill all those insects I hate. That's why they are called "irrational"... you can know they are irrational and it still doesn't help. It's not fear cause of any rational (pretend or real) means, you just fear it (you may not even know why).
There are snake moving services that can relocate the snake (that's why my apartment in Atlanta did with a copperhead that decided to move in).
And I can understand not wanting to be bit. I own snakes and I don't really want to be bit by them either, even the little hatchling ratsnake that can't even get through skin yet (or barely anyways). I've started wearing gloves with him because I tend to fear being bitten and since he does bite I'm just too nervous to handle him without gloves to make me force myself to calm down and let him just bite (even then I still want to jerk away when I think he's about to bite). I'm hoping he grows out of it and learns that me handling him is not bad (he can be a little spitfire sometimes :) ).
