Young snakes shed on average every four to eight weeks(I have had hatchlings shed every month in their first year). The frequency of shedding decreases as the snake gets older and its growth slows down. My adult typically shed four to six times a year. I hope this info is helpful.

:I measured my king today and found out that he's 14 inches long. This got me thinking about shedding. How often do kings, especially young ones (he's 6 months) shed their skin? Also, when they start to shed, is there anything special that I need to do for him?
