i a have a large collection of literature and sometimes field guides are not always accurate. dave

::i heard that Yuma (Yumensis)kings grow larger than Coastal Banded and Desert Cal kings? is this really true? the Yuma's i have which are the same age as my other adult Cal kings seem to be the same lengh. but a little more in girth. thanks dave

:You really should invest in a field guide it's full of useful information, such as average length. IMHO the yuma is no larger on average than any other cal. king.
