I was afraid to pick them up in case I damaged them, but wiggled my hand until it was under the entire clump and then transferred them to the perlite. I took a good look at the momma snake, and she is nice and slender all the way down, which I hope means she has no eggs left inside her. She's chowing down like there's no tomorrow on some hoppers. I've never seen her eat so voraciously. I'll keep a thermometer by the egg container, and make sure it stays at the right temperature. My hope is that if it gets a little cold, or a little warm, so long as the temps are overall within the proper range all should be well. Jeepers, I didn't realize how much I would stress once the eggs were laid!

:::) Every year the feeling is the same when eggs are laid! I think you have it right. I use moist vermiculite as well. Since your eggs are in a clump, make sure that your tuppeware container has enough space around the clutch of eggs to allow for growth. I use two small holes on my lids to allow air circulation and still maintain high humidity. I like to see condensation on the sides of the container. If you need to add water to the container, spray water in the corners (away from the eggs). Mark the date, and in about 60 days (give or take a few days) they should be pippin. I try to keep my eggs between 80-82 degrees and I keep them in my snake room, so sometimes I have to move the egg containers from the shelf to the floor.

One other thing, it's true that they should be out of the egg in about 48 hours after pipping. But they all wont pip at the same time. It could take a week or more for all of them to be out of the egg. So don't panic when they all don't pip at the same time.IMHO
