Someone is obviously not a field herper. If you ever go catch wildcaught snakes, you will see the price they pay. Most are heavily scarred probably from large rodents they are planning on eating. Almost all wild snakes have old wounds from when they grabbed a prey item and it got the best of them. So if you want a snake that could possibly be killed, scared, or scarred by a rodent, then by all means go ahead. It is also more humane for the mouse to kill it prior to feeding. Andy
