:Is feeding pre-killed mice to your snake overrated? Everyone recommends it cause it's safer for your snake. But in the wild, snakes don't get their meals all pre-served for them. They have to earn them, and kingsnakes often deal with prey much more dangerous then mice. Is feeding a live mouse every so often really that harmful?
: The only live prey i feed my snakes are small pinkies and crew. I still believe that for larger snakes feeding on larger mice, f/t mice or stunned mice is better. When snakes attack their live prey, it is but natural for the prey to defend themselves in whatever manner they can. And mice do bite. You woudlnt want your snake to end up crippled or deformed because of this.
